"If you want to build a ship, don't drum up people together to collect wood
and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them
to long for the endless immensity of the sea." (Antoine de Saint-Exupéry)

"Born to a French father and American mother, I lived the first thirteen years of my life in Paris, France. My life has always been enriched by two languages and cultures. I have been teaching French for twenty years on the East coast and West coast. I spent fourteen years teaching at Deerfield Academy, a boarding school in Massachusetts, where I was able to get to know students very well in and out of the classroom. I love spending time with high school students and sharing with them my passion for the French language. During my free time, I am an avid soccer player and fan."

"As a teacher, I
particularly value the human interactions that occur in a classroom. I am passionate about my subject, and I try
to share my enthusiasm with my students in all ways possible.
I make the language relevant for the students by showing them how learning French can have a lifelong impact on their future, either in their personal lives or their career. My classroom is very dynamic and interactive, a place where students feel comfortable expressing themselves and taking risks." |
